🛹🤝 Skateboarding Community Engagement Day: Supporting the Park Rebuild 🤝🛹
After the unfortunate vandalism of the local skatepark, the council received insurance funds to rebuild the facility. To help guide their decisions on how, where, and when to invest the money, Driift was asked to host a free skateboarding community engagement day.
Using the ramps we built for the Urban Arts Festival, we set up a pop-up skatepark and ran a fun, successful day of skateboarding and community connection.
The event brought locals together, celebrating skate culture while providing valuable community feedback to inform the rebuild plans.
It was a powerful reminder of how skateboarding and community go hand in hand — turning challenges into opportunities for growth.
